ENCARcontrol [250 cards x 60 pupae] box (AB1)
Description
ENCARcontrol (cards) to control the white fly
Encarsia formosa
ENCARcontrol consists of cardboard cards where the Encarsia formosa black parasitized whitefly pupae are glued upon. A few days after introduction in to the greenhouse, the adult parasitic wasps will come out and they will immediately search for whitefly larvae. The Encarsia parasitic wasp parasites on the whitefly causing the white fly to die. After a few weeks, a new parasitic wasp will emerge from the black coloured pupae. Because the wasps rely on the whitefly for reproduction, they show good search behaviour to the whitefly.
Encarsia formosa can be used in virtually any crop with temperatures above the 17°C. The parasitic wasp is sensitive to chemicals and the use of sulphur. Take this into account to use the Encarsia formosa succesfull in both the vegetable cultivation and flora cultivation
Product characteristics
• Unique glue method allows a high hatchability.
• Able to check the hatching percentage by checking the holes in the pupae.
• The parasitic wasps are stable above 17°C.
Packaging
ENCARcontrol is supplied on cardboard cards on which the pupae are glued. The unique glue method of the pupae provide a high hatching rate of at least 60 dolls per card. The pupae are naturally well protected against external influences, so the parasitic wasps always come out fresh in the crop and immediately able to work.
ENCARcontrol is available in packs of 50 cards (3.000 pupae) or 250 cards (15.000 pupae) per set. Besides ENCARcontrol is Encarsia also available in mix packs, in combination with Eretmocerus eremicus. Just like the Encarsia formosa is the mix available in packs of 50 cards (3000 pupae) or 250 cards (15.000 pupae) per set.
Finally ENCARcontrol is also available as a spreading. This product comes with 15.000 pupae in a 500 ml bottle with sawdust as a carrier.
User instructions
Open the box in the greenhouse and tear the individual tickets gently along the perforated edge. Hang the card in the crop through the eyelet. When there are a lot of whiteflies, it's best to use the complete strips. This was you can simply place a lot of parasitic wasps on a small surface. Don't place the cards in direct sunlight and avoid contact with the pupae, because this increases the damage chance of the pupae. Divide the cards around the greenhouse, 1 Encarsia per m2, 2 Encarsia per m2 with high plague pressure. Since the whitefly pests can develop quickly, it is recommended to also use other fighters beside Encarsia or correct on time with integratable agents
Receipt and storage
Upon receipt, check the product for abnormalities and report any complaints or comments within 24 hours. Preferably use the product immediately. If storage is required, the product should be stored horizontally and in a dark place at a temperature of 8-10°C for a maximum of 24 hours. If the product is stored longer and/or under different conditions Royal Brinkman is not liable for any loss of quality.
