Description

ARTEMIcontrol for the feeding of Macrolophus pygamous

General
ARTEMIcontrol are encapsulated Artemia cysts intended for the supplementary feeding of the predatory bug Macrolophus pygmaeus. This predatory bug against whitefly, caterpillar and spider mites is mainly used in the spring in tomato and pepper cultivation. Due to the lack or limited occurrence of food sources, the population is often difficult to start up. By supplementary feeding of Macrolophus pygmaeus it is possible to build up the population faster. The Artemia cysts which are an animal protein source are sucked out by Macrolophus pygmaeus. In the crop the Artemia cysts are attractive for a long time and spoil slowly. ARTEMIcontrol is a good alternative for Ephestia kuehniella because of the lower prices and a long shelf life in the packaging.

Packaging
ARTEMIcontrol is available in three packages: 500 grams (jars), 2.5 kilograms and 5 kilograms (buckets).

Instructions for use
Sprinkle or blow in the expansion rows or full fields. Before use, allow the closed packaging to acclimatise in the greenhouse to prevent condensation and clogging.

Deployment strategy
Advice: introduce 200 to 500 grams of ARTEMIcontrol per ha weekly (for at least 6 weeks) after the introduction of Macrolophus pygmaeus. If the population is sufficiently large or if there are sufficient pests present, one can stop feeding.

Receipt and storage
Upon receipt, check the product for abnormalities and report any complaints or comments within 24 hours. Preferably use the product immediately. If storage is required, the product should be stored in a dark place until the expiry date. When the product is stored longer and/or under different conditions Royal Brinkman is not liable for any loss of quality.
