Description

Eretmocerus eremicus
EREMIcontrol contains pupae of the parasitic wasp Eretmocerus eremicus. The parasitic wasp parasitizes mainly on the tobacco white fly, greenhouse white fly and the cabbage whitefly. The Eretmocerus parasitic wasps parasitize the larvae of the white fly by placing an egg under the larvae. As soon as the egg comes out, the predatory wasp enters the host.  The white fly larvae dies after about two weeks. Just before the outcome, the pupae turns yellow. Now a parasitic wasp will hatch from the pupae instead of a white fly. In addition to parasitization, Eretmocerus will also host-feed, by drinking the blood of the larvae.

The parasitic wasp is very mobile and can easily travel long distances. Due to the good search behaviour, the control of white fly by Eretmocerus eremicus is very effective. Originally, this parasitic wasp comes from Arizona and California desert area, and can endure high temperatures up to 40 °C. Especially during the summer months it can be well used in the Netherlands.

Product features
• The parasitic wasps are well resistant to a summer’s climate.
• The parasitic wasp is mobile from 15°C.
• Eremicus will also host-feed by draining the content of the whitefly  larvae.
• Simply introduce the predatory wasp on a small surface
• Extra high emergence rate because of the loose material

Packaging
EREMIcontrol is available on cardboard cards to which the dolls are glued. The pupae are well protected against outside influences, so the parasitic wasps are always fresh in the crop and can immediately get to work. The unique gluing method of the pupae on the cards guarantees a high hatch rate of at least 60 pupae per card.

EREMIcontrol on cards is available in packs of 50 cards (3,000 pupae) or 250 cards (15,000 pupae) per set.

EREMIcontrol is also available in mix packs with Encarsia formosa. The mix is available in packs of 50 cards (3,000 dolls) or 250 cards (15,000 dolls) per set.

EREMIcontrol is also available as loose material. The advantage of loose pupae is the high hatching percentage, because almost all pupae are hatched. Loose pupae are available in three formulations: bottles of 3.000 (125 ml), 5.000 (125 ml) and 15.000 (500 ml) predatory mites per bottle.

User instructions
When using EREMIcontrol cards it is important that the cards are hung on a place where the whitefly lays her eggs. Do not hang the cards in direct sunlight and avoid contact with the pupae, as this can increase the chance of damage to the pupae. In the period October to March the use of loose material is advised. During this period an outcome of 60 wasps per ticket cannot be guaranteed because of unfriendly temperatures. If you choose to use EREMIcontrol cards anyway, keep in mind that you need to use more cards to achieve the desired effect.

Receipt and storage
Upon receipt, check the product for abnormalities and report any complaints or comments within 24 hours. Preferably use the product immediately. If storage is required, the product should be stored horizontally and in a dark place at a temperature of 8-10°C for a maximum of 24 hours. If the product is stored longer and/or under different conditions Royal Brinkman is not liable for any loss of quality.
