Description

Ultimate protection for your mask

It is important to store your mask well after use to prevent damage to the mask. This box has room for a full face mask or two half face masks. This robust box is perfect to combine with, for example, the X-plore 5500.

There are different types of spray masks:

  • Dust mask: a dust mask protects against aerosols such as dust, mists and fibres. This mask is available in three classes, namely FFP1, FFP2 and FFP3 (which stands for Filtering Facepiece Particles). Here FFP1 masks have the lowest degree of protection and FFP3 masks the highest. Dust masks are disposable masks that you throw away as soon as they are saturated.
  • Semi-welded mask: this type of spray mask fits the face better than a dust mask, reducing the risk of leaks and thus increasing safety. This mask can be used in combination with safety goggles to protect the eyes against splashes (but beware: safety goggles do not protect the eyes against gases and fumes!).
There are half masks with one and two filters (also called single and double cartridge masks). The advantage of a mask with two filters is that the weight is better adjusted and the breathing resistance is lower. Please note: filters heavier than 300 grams should not be attached to half masks.
  • Full Face Mask: This type of spray mask also fully protects the eyes, is more comfortable to wear and can handle higher concentrations of substances. This makes this mask suitable for long-term use. You can combine this mask with all kinds of filters. A full face mask can be used when working with harmful or irritating substances.
