Description

Calcium nitrate is used as a calcium source to strengthen cell walls and is readily soluble in water. Because calcium precipitates with phosphates and sulphates, calcium nitrate must be dissolved in the A fertilizer tank.


Composition 

Chemical formula: Ca(NO3)2

 Total nitrogen totaal (N) 15.5%
 Nitrate nitrogen (N-NO3) 14.4%
 Ammoniacal nitrogen (N-NH4) 1.1%
 Calcium oxide (CaO) 26.5%


Application

Potassium nitrate should be dissolved in the A fertilizer tank to prevent precipitation with other fertilizers, such as phosphates or sulfates.
