Nova MAP (monoammonium phosphate) is a white crystalline powder, free of chloride and sodium. It is the ideal fertilizer to increase the availability of soil phosphorus, especially in calcareous soils. Nova MAP consists of high purity nutrients and no residue or contaminants.
Advantages
- Highly efficient source of phosphorus as phosphate (H2PO4-), which promotes rapid absorption by the plant
- Nova MAP provides a acidifying effect on the soil solution and promotes the solubility of phosphorus and micronutrients
- Freely soluble and quickly dissolving
- Product of high purity, no residue or impurities

Application
Nova MAP can be used for the fertigation of most crops, at all stages of growth. It can be used especially in the early stages of plant growth to promote optimal development of the root system, as well as in the stages of flowering and fruiting. Do not mix the product with calcium-containing products.
Use
Mixing the product with magnesium-based products requires extra caution. Compatibility depends on pH and water quality.
Mixing in large quantities requires a small test.
Dosage
The recommended dilution rate, for stock solutions is 15 kg/100 litres of water.
Agronomic advantages
- High phosphorus and nitrogen content
Nova MAP has a high nutrient content in both phosphorus (P2O5) and nitrogen (NH4). The product is an ideal basis for a fertility program. Nova MAP can be used as the only source of phosphorus for the entire cultivation cycle.
- Can easily be mixed with single or compound fertilizers.
Usually Nova MAP is used in combination with straight fertility fertilizers such as Nova Ferti-K or other straight fertilizers such as ammonium nitrate or urea. By varying the rate of Nova MAP in the solution, the correct balance between nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium is obtained.
- Ensures a quick start of the crop
Nova MAP is particularly suitable in the growing period, in which root formation must take place. Sufficient phosphorus reserves for transplants and crops that need to create a root system are crucial for a good start. Nova MAP is the product to get production off to a perfect start.
- Is the right source of phosphorus at flower initiation
The phosphorus in Nova MAP can also be used to prevent fruit decomposition, for example in melons. Sufficient P-supply is very important at this stage. Nova MAP can be included in the fertilisation programme to start flowering, so that the phosphorus requirement in the flower's development phase is met.
- Ideal P-source for alkaline soils
The pH of Nova MAP is 4.5 (for a 1% solution) and therefore acidifies the substrate on which it is grown. This makes Nova MAP the ideal phosphorus fertilizer in alkaline soil situations.
- Do not mix Nova MAP with Ca/Mg in 1 tank.
Do not mix Nova MAP with calcium and magnesium fertilizers. Dissolve the product in another tank to prevent precipitation. Dissolve calcium or magnesium products in another tank.
