  • Aphidius colemani: mainly parasitizes the smaller aphids, such as: Black bean aphid (Aphis fabae), greenfly aphid (Aphis gossypii), violet aphid (Myzus ornatus) and the green peach aphid (Myzus persicae).
  • Aphidius ervi: specializes in parasitizing the larger aphids such as: crescent-marked lily aphid (Aulacorthum circumflexum), foxglove aphid (Aulacorthum solani), potato aphid (Macrosiphum euphorbiae), yellow rose aphid (Rhodobium porosum) rose aphid (Macrosiphum rosea).

  • Aphelinus abdominalis: is just like the aphidius ervi specialized in the parasitizing of: crescent-marked lily aphid. (Aulacorthum circumflexum), foxglove aphid (Aulacorthum solani), Potato aphid (Macrosiphum euphorbiae), yellow rose aphid (Rhodobium porosum) And the rose aphid (Macrosiphum rosea).
  • Ephedrus cerasicola: parasites mainly the : crescent-marked lily aphid (Aulacorthum circumflexum), foxglove aphid (Aulacorthum solani) and the green peach aphid (Myzus persicae).
  • Praon volucre: parasitizes: crescent-marked lily aphid (Aulacorthum circumflexum), rose aphid (Macrosiphum rosea), potato aphid (Macrosiphum euphorbiae) green peac aphid(Myzus persicae) and the foxglove aphid (Aulacorthum solani).

The adult parasitic wasps will hatch and parasitize aphids by inserting an egg. The parasitic wasps finds aphids in the crop even before the lice can be seen, so these parasitic wasps are very suitable for preventive use. Note that the parasitic wasps leave empty mummies in the crop. This can be at the expense of decorative value. For the vegetable crops this is not important. It is recommended to regularly repeat treatment with parasitic wasps in the greenhouse.
