Lamp replacement

The CRI CRI bug zapper is equipped with two 15W UV lamps, which can be reordered from Royal Brinkman. Over time, as the lamps accumulate operating hours, their UV light output gradually diminishes, significantly reducing effectiveness after approximately 9,000 hours of use. It is recommended to replace the lamps once a year to ensure optimal performance. Do not rely on the visible brightness of the lamp, as the UV light that attracts insects is not visible to humans. After this period, the actinic light output—responsible for attracting flies—decreases by approximately 30%. For average use of six months per year, we recommend replacing the UV lamps every two years. To maximize effectiveness, replace the lamps as close as possible to the start of the pest season, ensuring the CRI CRI bug zapper operates at its best.
