Tomato grafting clips

Grafting clips are used for various kinds of plants, especially for tomato, pepper, eggplant, cucumber, zucchini and (water)melon. Each type of seedling needs different growth conditions which makes it important to choose the appropriate clip. That’s why Royal Brinkman has a wide range of grafting clips for tomatoes, pepper, melons, and all other greenhouse crops. Tomato plants are quite susceptible for diseases. Therefore, tomato plants have been grafted for a long time. But also pepper plants and eggplants are grafting to increase the plant resistance and to achieve a higher quality of the product.

Grafting clips for different growing conditions

The choice between a hard or soft grafting clip for grafting tomatoes, peppers and eggplant depends on growth conditions. Royal Brinkman has designed complete lines of grafting clips for all horticultural crops. The growing conditions of seedlings depend strongly on the light conditions and temperature. In northern countries with winter planting the seedlings are normally softer and longer. In Mediterranean countries more rigid grafting clips are preferred over more flexible, softer grafting clips because of the cultivation of fairly tough plants. The flexible, soft grafting clips are the preferred choice in the Mediterranean climates.
