Description
Optima Leaf-Cu+ is part of the Optima Leaf+ range, a product line of foliar fertilizers that are efficiently absorbed by crops. The ‘+’ indicates the presence of supplementary trace elements, which prevent unbalanced fertilization and demonstrably enhance the product's effectiveness.
Key functions of copper:
- Essential during seed and fruit formation.
- Necessary for chlorophyll formation and photosynthesis.
- Strengthens cell walls, leading to stronger and more flexible plant cells.
- Positively influences starch and sugar content, as well as the taste of fruits.
Possible causes of copper deficiency in plants
Low copper content in the soil.
- Soils with high organic matter content retain copper, reducing its availability to crops.
- Excessive phosphate and nitrogen in the soil hinder copper uptake by crops.
- A high soil pH reduces copper availability.
Dosage:
Foliar application (maximum concentration 1:200, unless otherwise specified)
- Arable farming (general): 1.0 - 1.5 liters per hectare. Apply 1 to 5 times from emergence.
- Vegetable cultivation (general): 1.0 - 1.5 liters per hectare. Apply 2 to 6 times from planting/emergence.
- Fruit cultivation (general): 1.5 liters per hectare. Apply 4 to 6 times from leaf development.
- Other crops: 1.0 - 1.5 liters per hectare. Apply 1 to 6 times from planting/emergence.
Product approved for use in organic farming in accordance with regulations: EU 2018-848 & EU 2DE021-1165.
