Durable biodegradable film for organic cultivation in greenhouses and open ground

The BI-OPL film is a biodegradable film used in both greenhouse and open ground cultivation. This film meets international standards for organic farming and can easily be incorporated into the soil after the harvest.

Advantages of BI-OPL film

  • Completely biodegradable: Suitable for organic and ecological cultivation
  • Easy to process: Can be directly incorporated into the soil after the harvest by tilling or plowing
  • Widely applicable: Suitable for crops such as zucchini, strawberries, tomatoes, cucumbers, and flowers
  • SKAL certified: Included in the Dutch SKAL input list for organic farming
  • Flexible options: Also available with plant holes, microperforation, and custom sizes

BI-OPL is a sustainable, biodegradable film specifically developed for use in organic and ecological farming systems. This film can be used in both greenhouses and open ground, and is applied to crops such as zucchini, strawberries, pineapples, tomatoes, cucumbers, asparagus, lettuce, woody cuttings, and summer flowers.

After the harvest, the film can easily be incorporated into the soil by tilling or plowing. The material breaks down under natural conditions, contributing to a more sustainable farming practice.

Service life and biodegradability

The service life of the film depends on climate, microbiological soil conditions, and any (agro)chemical treatments. Halogen-containing substances may affect the degradation process.
