What is Huwa-San?

Because of the unique stabilizer Huwa-San retains its strength for a long time to get through the entire water system. It contains an excess of H2O2 molecules stabilized around silver ions. This causes more HO2 to reach the desired location in a controlled way. In addition, excess peroxide is recombined around the silver ion to repeat the process immediately after completion. Moreover, unlike other similar products, the product contains no harmful additives, is odorless, colorless and non-corrosive at the correct dosage.

Effective against

Huwa-San has proven itself in the removal and prevention of biofilm on the inside of water systems and thus preventing clogging
of the drippers and nozzles. The added value lies in the preventive effect against the spread of germs because the product is continuously present in the water system, also during the growing season. Examples of pathogens that can be prevented with Huwa-San are; Fusarium, Pythium, Phytophtora, Pseudomonas, Clavibacter (bacterial invasion disease), fur virus and Agrobacterium (crazy roots; excessive root growth).

Applying Huwa-San

Every situation is unique, for tailor-made advice you can contact one of our disinfection specialists. Dosage can vary per
situation, but a commonly used continuous dosage is 40cc Huwa-San per 1000 liters. There may also be situations in which a higher dosage is recommended, based on contact time and the problems present. With peroxide test strips the amount of peroxide can easily be measured. After starting up Huwa-San you need to flush the system to remove algae and dirt (biofilm) from the system to increase the effectiveness of Huwa-San. Keep repeating this regularly and check regularly to see if dirt is loosened. With the peroxide strips you can easily measure whether, and in what quantity, the product enters the front of the system. Then continue to measure backward whether the product is distributed throughout the system, and in what amount it is still active at the back of the system.
SPI Huwa-San
Example:
If you dose 40 ppm of product (20 ppm H2O2), you will find approximately 20 ppm in the front of the system. Further on in the system you can check if the product arrives at the back of the system through all lines. Drip some water at the end of the tubing onto the test strip. The goal is to measure approximately 10 ppm at the end of the system.

Dosing system

The dosing of Huwa-San should preferably be done with a pulse pump in the mixing tank or in the discharge pipe to the greenhouse (if there is no mixing tank). When using a daily supply it is advised to dose the Huwa-San before the water enters the mixing tank. Choose a suitable pump that is resistant to hydrogen peroxide and has a self-ventilating top. With the special hydrogen peroxide strips you can check what the dosage is at each place in the greenhouse. We will gladly draw up a plan of approach together with you.

Right dosing of Huwa-San to get a bacteria-free watering system

In order to get a bacteria-free watering system, the dosing of Huwa-San TR-50 should preferably be done with a pulse pump in the mixing tank or in the discharge pipe of the greenhouse (if there is no mixing tank). When using a daily supply, it is advised to dose the Huwa-San before the water enters the greenhouse. Choose a suitable pump that can withstand hydrogen peroxide and has a self-ventilating head in order to obtain a bacteria-free watering system.
