Which accessories are available for the Danish trolley?
One of the most widely used trolleys in horticulture is the Danish trolley, also called Danish container, roll container or flower trolley. There is a reason that this trolley is so popular, because apart from the fact that it concerns a high-quality trolley, it is also weather-resistant, stackable, adjustable and suitable for long-term use. A Danish trolley can be extended using various accessories. In this article we will further discuss the Danish trolley and the available accessories.
Dimension Danish trolley
A Danish trolley has standard dimensions of 135 by 56.5 cm. Stands are supplied with a height of 189.5 cm each. In some cases this is not high enough. Then the stands can be extended by use of top units to allow higher loads.
In addition to the standard dimension, there are also half Danish trolleys. The dimensions of those are 71.5 by 56.5 cm and 173.5 cm high. Also these can be extended by use of top unit, if necessary.

Different wheels
Different wheels are available, depending on the load, maneuverability and size of the Danish trolley. In case of a heavier load, it is advisable to buy larger solid quality wheels. For example castors are suitable for that purpose. If the trolley carries a limited load, but requires decent maneuverability, then swivel castors are a better option.
Grow lights
You can choose to extend Danish trolley with LED lights creating a multilayer cultivation system. This system can be used for growing plants. The glass LED tubes provide limited heat, so you can place them fairly close to the plants. An advantage of these lights is that it stimulates the growth of plants and that they can last up to 6 times longer than conventional lighting.
Frost covers
A useful accessory for the Danish trolley in winter is the frost cover. Frost covers protect flowers and plants not only against the cold, but also against wind and rain during transport. The covers are transparent, so that the flowers and plants remain well visible and receive enough light.
Wipponcar
One of the auxiliaries to easily transport Danish trolley is the wipponcar. Using a wipponcar you can easily lift a roll container to subsequently relocate it. A wipponcar is available with various wheel sizes. The advantage of a wipponcar is that when using a coupling piece you can transport the trolley like a train.
