Unprinted plant labels for the greenhouse

Do you want to use a handy system in the greenhouse to easily see when which type of plant was planted? Then unprinted plant labels, which can be written on with a marker, are very suitable for this. Breeders and growers of young cutting plants in particular use this system. These unprinted plant labels are also available in various colors. You can also sort by color and use a specific color for a specific plant and/or date.

Customer-specific labels for selling

Do you want to use labels to selling? Then it is interesting to choose a customer-specific label. This can be a stick-in label, but also a hanging label. By having the label designed yourself, together with the Royal Brinkman Studio, you create your own means of communication. For instance, think of providing information about the care or the plant itself. You can adjust/add the following elements to the label:
  • Shape
  • Logo
  • Image
  • Care tips
  • Plant passport
  • Website

Four advantages of a customer-specific label:

  1. The label stands out
  2. The label is distinctive
  3. Higher appearance
  4. Increase sales

Plant labels with plant passport

The plant passport is usually printed on pots, but it is also possible to print labels with the plant passport. Since 14 December, 2019, it has become mandatory to provide all plants with a plant passport. The aim is to reduce plant health risks in the European Union.

Different materials

The plant labels are available in different materials. Each material has its own characteristics. The most common materials are:
  • PS (polystyrene) - Polystyrene is a sturdy plastic that is water-repellent. This material is ideal for labels that are intended to be placed directly in the ground.
  • PE (polyethylene): Polyethylene is often used for labels that hang from a stake. This material is softer and more flexible.

Sustainable labels

We also see that the demand for sustainable labels is increasing. Sustainable labels are available in different paper/cardboard types, depending on the specifications and wishes. Carrier board is, for example, a widely used sustainable alternative. This material is organic, has a cardboard look and is quite sturdy. By placing an extra bio laminate over the label, it is also water-repellent. It is also possible to have these durable labels printed yourself with your own print. These labels are always hung on a wooden stick or have a hook.
