Royal Brinkman appoints Marco van der Sar as Director of Horti Essentials

13-4-2026
’s-Gravenzande – Royal Brinkman has appointed Marco van der Sar as Director of the Horti Essentials division. In this role, he will be responsible for the assortment of horticultural supplies and the team dedicated to this area. Van der Sar brings extensive experience in the horticultural sector and has held various commercial and management positions within the industry in recent years.
Van der Sar’s appointment follows the introduction of a new divisional structure at Royal Brinkman at the end of 2025. Bas Brinkman, CEO of Royal Brinkman: “The horticultural sector is becoming increasingly complex. Scaling continues, crop protection products are disappearing, regulations are tightening, and the pressure to grow more sustainably and efficiently is increasing. In this reality, professional growers need certainty: clear operational insight, predictability throughout the season, and solutions that are proven to work in practice. In response to these market dynamics, we have deliberately reorganised our structure. By working in clearly defined divisions, we bring greater focus and depth to our expertise. With Marco, we are bringing in extensive experience and strong commercial capability to further develop and strengthen the Horti Essentials division,” said Brinkman.

“Royal Brinkman is recognised worldwide as a reliable partner for growers,” says Marco van der Sar. “Growers need to be able to rely on the availability and quality of their core products. I am delighted to be joining Royal Brinkman and working with the team to further strengthen that foundation.”
