Packaging and distribution

Royal Brinkman is specialized in seven themes with a wide range of products in each theme. We supply most of these items from our stock. Growers can place an order or request a quotation via Webshop, e-mail or telephone from all over the world. You can either pick up your order at one of the branches or have the order delivered thanks to our extensive delivery/shipping system.

At our distribution center in ’s-Gravenzande and branches abroad, we work with state-of-the-art storage and stock control systems. A single, sophisticated robotic system is able to handle approximately 9.000 technical parts. Together with the storage system for fertilizers, crop protection products and the remaining storage facilities, Brinkman’s stock control system meets all the requirements expected from a modern horticultural supplier.

Specialists with many years of experience will take care so that your products will be packed and distributed in the most effective and reliable way. We can support you with all necessary documents, inspections and transport bookings. Whether your product will be send by courier or transported by truck, ship or plane, we are proud to say that our team of logistic specialists will make sure that your product will arrive on time and in good shape at any place in the world.

Transport options

Royal Brinkman offers every type of transport that you prefer, all over the world. Below are the most used delivery options. 

Courier delivery

This option is most used for small packages or packages that are required to be delivered fast. Delivery times vary between 1-7 working days depending on your location.  We can offer delivery with your requested courier, or we can chose the best option for you. We work with express courier services as TNT and DHL. With a courier delivery the package can be delivered at place (DAP) or delivered with duties paid(DDP). If you want the package to be sent with duties paid, we can also arrange the import for you. Offering imported packages is not available for all countries. We will send you a track and trace link when the package is shipped from our facility so you can keep track of the package when it’s being shipped. Together with the package a pro forma invoice will be sent in order to arrange the import.  This pro forma invoice will be sent to your email as well. 

Airfreight delivery

This option is most used for bigger packages that have to be delivered with high priority. The delivery times vary between 3-7 days depending on your location. The package can be delivered at place (DAP), delivered with duties paid (DDP) or delivered towards an airport of choice (CIP). If Royal Brinkman only takes care of the delivery until the airport, you will have to arrange the inland transport to your greenhouse yourself. With the package a packing list will be shipped. By email you will receive a master airway bill, pro forma invoice and packing list. If other documents are needed we will send these as well. Original, hard copy, documents can be sent if required.

Container delivery

Container delivery is a best value for money when we are shipping you big volumes over sea.  The delivery times are longer but cheaper and vary between 2 to 7 weeks depending on your location.

There are two different types of container shipments. Full container loads (FCL) and Less than Container Load (LCL). For full containers 20ft and 40ft container are most common. A 20ft container is 5,90 meter and will fit approximately  10 standard size pallets. A 40ft container is 12,00 meter and will fit approximately  21 standard pallets. 

If your materials only consist of a few pallets, it could be cheaper to book a LCL shipment. Your materials will be loaded in a shared container. We will of course help you with these choices and give you our advice.
We can ship the containers worldwide. The shipments can be delivered at place (DAP), delivered with duties paid (DDP) or delivered towards a harbor of choice (CIF).

For importing the goods we will send you the Bill of Lading, pro forma invoice and packing list. If other documents are needed we will send these as well. Original, hard copy, documents can be sent if required.

Truck delivery

For most European countries truck delivery is the best solution when we are shipping you volumes over land. The delivery times vary between 1-10 days depending on your location. Royal Brinkman works together with several transport companies which send trucks all over Europe. Due to shorter distances than container shipments, trucks mostly have LCL shipments and are shipped in combined transport. Full truckloads usually container about 24 pallets (120x80cm). 

Arranging your own transport

It is also possible to arrange your own transport. You can pick up the goods at our warehouse and we will load the goods for you. Depending on the volume, we also have the possibility to deliver pallets at other companies in the Netherlands.  We have our own daily transport all around the Netherlands. So in case you arrange a container, leaving from a different company then Royal Brinkman, we can send the products there (usually free of charge).

The transport costs will be charged separately or included in your offer. This will at all times be specified on the quotation or by your account manager.

Documentation

Royal Brinkman makes all documents needed for exporting and importing your products in-house.
Every country has its own regulations and we will supply you with all needed documents to make the shipment as easy as possible for you.

For every shipment we will provide you with a pro forma invoice and a packing list. Depending on the shipment we will also send you a master airway bill or bill of lading.

Depending on the goods and shipment location we also have the possibility to supply you with a dangerous goods document, material safety data sheet of products, certificate of origin, EUR1 declaration,  phytosanitary document , ATR document and SGS-inspection documents.
If other documents are required for your shipment, please don’t hesitate and let us know so we can inform you with the possibilities.

Stock

We supply most of our items from our stock. At our distribution center in ’s-Gravenzande and branches abroad, we work with state-of-the-art storage and stock control systems.
