How do you increase plant resilience?

Increasing plant resilience is an increasingly important concept in greenhouse horticulture. Factors such as diseases, pests and microorganisms (biotic) as well as environmental factors such as temperature, moisture and light (abiotic) can cause stress. Plants naturally possess a defense mechanism with which they protect themselves against such situations.
