DAN-sprinkler
DAN-sprinklers are known for their high uniformity and reliability. The most applied DAN sprinklers are the Mamkad and the Super-10. Both are also available in a pressure-compensated version. Also, both types are suitable for the side sprinklers. The choice of sprinkler is determined by: the desired precitation, width of the bay, sprayer spacing and any other requirements. The droplet diameter of these sprinklers is ideal for outdoor applications, with mainly wind sensitivity being an important factor.

Bay dimensions
The width of the bay is often similar to the standard greenhouse widths; 6:40 - 8 - 9.60 and 12.80 meters. For the nozzle distance, for example, a part of the tube length of 5 meter is maintained: 3.75 - 5 - 7.5 - 10 and 12.5 meters. The sprayer is placed so low above the cultivation (60 cm above the cultivation) to minimize the influence of the wind.

Precipitation
For an outdoor direct spray irrigation, usually 5-7 mm/h is maintained. The same as in the greenhouse and unlike good direct roof spray irrigation, a good uniformity is important. However, wind is a major influence on the influence of the uniformity of field irrigation.

Sprinkler support
Depending on the type of substrate, a choice is made for the most suitable sprinkler support. Most determinative of this is whether or not a pin can be inserted into the substrate. This is the most economical solution but cannot be combined with a waterproof bottom. In particular, large capacity sprinklers have relatively large setback and need a proper 'firm' support.
