Capillary 3.2 x 0.8 85cm red
Description
The capillary dripper is one of the first type of drippers. The capillary dripper capacity is determined by: the operating pressure, length and the inner diameter of the capillary. This results in a wide variety of capacities. The flow in the capillary is not turbulent. The capacity per dripper can vary considerably (higher CV value), especially when the drippers get older and thus become more polluted. The clogging sensitivity is higher than of its subsequent successors, such as: the cobra, woodpecker and Kameleon
A new way of feeding the capillary dripper is used from 2015. A letter coding indicates the inner diameter. A letter (A,B,C,D,E) is printed on the microtube corresponding to the coding and capacity table listed below. Capillary drippers supplied before 2015 are given a number (1,2,3,4) This shows the capacity at 0.5 bar.
Characteristics
- Pressure sensitive basic dripper
- 5 encodings (A, B, C, D, E)
- Lowest uniformity in comparison to modern drippers
- Straight cut microtube instead of oblique (from 1-1-2015) for better connection to the screwdriver
Application
Various crops with relative short bed distances.
