Description

Sustainable water distribution for optimal plant growth

The BWM capillary mat (formerly known as TG-super) is the choice for sustainable and even water distribution in your cultivation environment.

Benefits of the BWM capillary mat

  • Excellent water distribution: Designed to optimize irrigation across crops.
  • Effective irrigation: High water-holding capacity with low capillary action.
  • Durable and mold-resistant: Made from 100% recycled synthetic fibers for long-lasting use.
  • Low maintenance: Requires relatively little system maintenance.
  • No expensive piping systems: Crop irrigation can occur without complex or costly infrastructure.
  • Flexible application: Suitable for growing multiple types of potted plants on a single mat.

Excellent water distribution

The BWM capillary mat is specially developed to ensure uniform water distribution in growing systems. It acts as the final link between nature and technology in cultivation, evenly buffering and distributing water beneath potted plants—essential for consistent growth and healthy root development.

High water-holding capacity with low capillarity

With a water capacity of 4.0–5.0 liters per square meter, the mat provides steady moisture levels, reducing watering frequency and minimizing the risk of drying out. Its low capillary action ensures moisture is evenly spread without oversaturating the plants.

Durable and mold-resistant

Manufactured from 100% recycled synthetic fibers, the mat contains no natural materials that might rot or develop mold, resulting in a longer product lifespan.

Cost-effective solution

The BWM capillary mat involves relatively low initial investment and minimal maintenance compared to alternative systems. Optional additions include ground cover and anti-algae film, simplifying installation and lowering setup costs. Irrigation is achieved without costly piping systems, making it especially attractive for growers who replace their systems annually.

Packaging

Mats are available in various lengths and widths tailored to your growing system.

Application guidelines

  • When installing multiple strips, maintain an overlap of 5 to 10 cm.
  • Fully wet the mat before use using your irrigation system—this helps it settle and smooth out folds.
  • The new system (ground film, ground cover, capillary mat, anti-algae film) needs about two months to fully stabilize. Expect initial performance to vary.
  • Never let the mat fully dry out after first use—this may cause chemical residues to accumulate and affect performance.
  • Keep the mat slightly moist during crop changes to ensure a smooth start for the next cultivation cycle.
  • Store unused mats in a cool, dry place.
