Description
Type VK21: 2 valves - 1 motor
Envalve butterfly valves are designed to serve as shut-off valves or control valves. They can be remotely controlled with an electric actuator. The butterfly valves are manufactured from PVC and have a cuff of EPDM, making them resistant to many aggressive substances. The valves are also available with a VITON® cuff.
With an electric or pneumatic actuator, they can be controlled remotely. In order to operate this valve, the valve shaft is coupled to an electric drive motor. This drive motor has a supply voltage of 24VAC. On request, drive motors for a voltage of 230 Volt can be supplied. The drive motor can turn in two directions and is controlled by the phase of the supply voltage.
By changing the phase, the valve opens or closes respectively. The end position of the valve is limited by two built-in limit switches. The drive motors are bistable, which means that if the valve turns to a certain position, the valve remains in that position at the moment the power supply is interrupted. A position indicator on the drive motor indicates whether the valve has a large or small passage. The motor is equipped with a release button, which allows the actuator to be disengaged and the valve to be moved to a specific position using the control panel. The butterfly valves are equipped with flanges and collar bushings. The collar also serves as a gasket.
Advantages of a butterfly valve
- High flow capacity
- Low pressure loss
- Flow direction to both sides
- Small installation dimensions
- Few parts
- Emergency operation on the valve
- Versions with flanges of 75 mm (DN75) to 200 mm (DN200)
- VK21-160 installation, for which a centre-to-centre option of 460 mm is possible same as for VK21-200
Specifications
- Inner diameter
- 125
