The Project
Greenvalley started a new construction project to replace his 30-year-old greenhouse. For his medium coarse tomatoes he wanted the best technical installation, this way his crop can grow in the best conditions. He asked Royal Brinkman to build and install the electrical, water, lighting and climate installation for his new-built greenhouse at Kreekrug, De Lier.
With this whole new greenhouse there was also need for a new water basin. Royal Brinkman also installed a Rainlevelr in the water basin. Before heavy rainfall growers with a Rainlevelr can lower their water level in the basin, so they can collect rain when needed. This way Greenvalley has a water solution and with the Rainlevelr he also helps the community to prevent flooding. In the future, as a result of climate change, we will increasingly have to deal with extreme rainfall. In densely built glasshouse horticultural areas, this can cause considerable problems, as rainwater can be discharged less easily here than in spacious areas. As a grower in Westland and Oostland in The Netherlands, however, you can help prevent flooding when you install a Rainlevelr.
