About Kees Kouwenhoven

Productspecialist Crop protection

Kees is product specialist crop protection. He advises growers on how to prevent and control pests and diseases, first and foremost by using natural predators but also, if necessary, using chemical means of correction. His extensive experience in the field of biological products is certainly of added value.

Kees has worked for Royal Brinkman since 2003. Before that he was a grower for 22 years, mostly of roses, so he knows what's happening in the sector and what is important to a grower. Kees is very pleased to share his knowledge and experience in the field of crop protection.

He considers it especially important to think in solutions and not to be limited to the usual frameworks. Creativity and a ‘personal touch' are part of his way of working. He is committed, knowledgeable and driven and likes to look for creative solutions. Kees discovered that thrips can be controlled biologically with Nemasys (nematodes). Over the years, this has become a major application in horticulture.
